Inspired by the shape of “Wau Pungguk” for the design of the main plan of the auditorium while the sound elements that can be produced by this “Wau Pungguk” are very suitable for the use of this auditorium as Convocation Hall symbolic to giving birth to artistic activities for students. The auditorium will be used for a variety of events, including lectures, concerts, and convocation ceremonies. It is important to design the auditorium in a way that is flexible and adaptable to meet the needs of a variety of users.
The curvilinear form reflected with the surrounding building context created a more harmonious approach to the overall proposal. The building is divided into 3 main zonings: Foyer, Main Hall and services layering the main building components from public space to private space. As they arrive, the visitors will be welcomed with a double and triple volume lobby. Inside, the curvature seating arrangements create a seamless view without compromising any position from any angle.
This convocation hall will be equipped with a Main Hall, Royal space and graduation facilities to fulfill the institution’s commitment to provide a world-class education ecosystem, research and services to optimise the potential of human capital for the well-being of society.
